This program runs over one and a half days and will prepare you for clients needing help with:
- Preparation for a normal birth
Preparation for - or to change a - Breech Birth
- Reducing hypertension
- Reducing anxiety
You will be guided through the basics of normal childbirth and possible complications. You will learn basic obstetrical knowledge and language to make your hypnosis more powerful.
Day one will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and day two will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Included in the course fee is a workbook complete with an extensive list of Ontario resources.
About the Instructor: Shawn Gallagher, BA, CH, is a Certified Hypnotherapist (National Guild of Hypnotists) with advanced training in Emergency Hypnosis and Pain Management. Shawn is an associate with the Ontario Hypnosis Centre, a teaching and clinical facility in Toronto.
Shawn retired from active midwifery practice in 1999 to provide hypnosis. She attended over 500 births in the home, hospital and birthing clinic settings over thirteen years while also teaching prenatal classes. Her experience provides a unique and reassuring method of childbirth preparation for expecting parents with the Hypnosis for Childbirth series.
Shawn founded the Hypnosis for Childbirth series in 1999 and has taught hundreds of women and their partners how to create an easier birth.
