This course is open to hypnotherapists, body and somatic therapists, and other healthcare practitioners and to the laypeople who have an interest in both healing and training.
This exciting new workshop, offered for the first time by the OHC, will cover the essential theory and practice of gestalt therapy as it is integrated with contemporary mindfulness based somatic therapy, Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Self Psychology.
The gestalt approach will include working in the now, the contact boundary disturbances, therapeutic presence and the healing dialogue.
Participants will learn skills in the following areas: mirroring, tracking and pacing, assessment of transference and projective identification, transmuting internalization, therapeutic empathy, deframing, and re-framing as well as demonstrations for evoking trance using naturalistic hypnosis. You will also learn Gestalt therapy as an existential therapy and a mind/body approach with emphasis both present centeredness and therapeutic methods combining Gestalt Therapy, Self-Psychology and Ericksonian Hypnosis will be covered.
